Hello!

 Hello fellow bloggers! Sorry I've not posted in so long...I've had a crazy week while my german exchange friend was here - oxford, barmouth, birmingham shopping = many additions to my wardrobe to show you guys. I should be doing more regular posting, seeing as I've just got one exam left on monday...oh god, that's tomorrow! But after that, I'll be having non-school stressing time to myself, which is brilliant!

So today the sun poked through the clouds after a drizzly week, so it was finally an opportunity for bare legs. I got a light denim skirt from a charity shop last year for a mere £2.50 and today seemed perfect to wear them....here's hoping the weather lasts!

(These lovelies were in the sale and I got a tenner knocked off for a scuff...couldn't say no ;)

   I also had the photography portraiture class last week...it was really good, but a bit intimidating (although, why not throw yourself in at the deep end!?) and I had trouble giving models instructions - practice makes perfect though! I haven't had chance to look at the photos from that day, but I'll be sure to post about them when I do.

Yesterday's Photos ♥

Seeing as this is a bit of a here-and-there blog about my interests, I thought I'd share some of the photos taken from the shoot yesterday, the model being my best friend Heather who's the perfect subject. It was a bit of a hot and cold day, perfect for lots of different lighting and weather, though I ended up lugging my heavy tripod around all day, which I never even ended up using! Hopefully this will build up a portfolio (luckily my exams are pretty nearly over so I've got a lot more time for it!) and I've got a portraiture class in a month, which I'm finding a tad daunting in case I'm surrounded by a bunch of pros with lots of gizmos and knowledge! Ah, it's an experience though, right?

   Also, I've reached 100 followers! I find it unbelievable, but this blog means much to me and has helped me a lot since I made it and it's down to every one of you guys...and your comments really make my day, and I try to get back to all of you, so thank you so much for taking the time to do that! I'll be posting about a giveaway some point soon, so watch this space!

My Source Of Inspiration...

   All the way back in December, my mom gave me this beautiful, leather bound notebook that I absolutely adore for my birthday! Yet I was always to scared to write in it and taint it's beauty with silly notes and doodles but I've finally decided what to do with it...just write about simple pleasures I see in life, just like the book itself! This may sounds a tad mental, but it's a great idea to then look back on to get a spark of inspiration. I always find the most random little things in life are some of the most cherished, don't you think?

It's good to see I'm spending my time wisely with exams right around the corner!
