Wish List!

Hello fellow bloggers! I was planning on doing another outfit post this weekend, but I've had a bit of a lazy weekend and haven't gone out, so I thought I'd save you the sight of an outfit post of me in PJ's! But, I thought instead I'd do a quick post on what I've had my eye on recently. As you know, we're approaching Spring, even though the weather doesn't feel like it, and I've been eager for an excuse to buy some Summery clothes...although I probably won't get much wear out of them for the next few months. So, I was looking for the perfect pair of shorts to last me for the Summer, and, of course, came across a few more goodies that I'd like (but can't afford!) and thought I'd make a post sharing them with you guys!

I really love the style of the TBA dress, though unfortunately it's sold out (not that I'd be able to buy it anyway!). But I'm saving up for those shorts - I have a wardrobe that creaks in protest to the amount of clothes I shove in it, yet I still don't own a pair of denim shorts...and those shoes are just so sweet! I'm weak for Topshop so these are the latest addition to my constantly growing wish list.
Anyroad, I'm off to catch up on coursework (living the dream, don't you think?) which I have an entire week to do seeing as it's half term...but I'll still be posting again soon! And sorry if this post is a bit crazy; I'm ridiculously tired...even after four cappuccinos!

Wahey! I've finally found my USB and spent the last two hours sorting and editing these photos that were taken at the weekend. The sun came out on Saturday, an unlikely event in the heart of Britain, so I took the opportunity to throw on something floral (though I made the thankful decision of thick tights!) and take some outfit photos. I got this skirt in the sales last Summer, and the Winter weather soon made an entrance so I never got a chance to wear it - so I had to put it on at the first opportunity! I will also admit to having glasses I don't need, which is a tad excessive but I love wearing them; I feel a bit like I'm in a disguise like Clarke Kent (looks like it's time to admit I'm a dedicated comic book fan as well). We had a great laugh taking the photos which we left a tad late so we went outside before we lost the light, but I got a bit knackered jumping about for some of the pictures (as you can probably tell!) so I think I'll stick to standing (more likely sitting) poses as I'm lazy most of the time! It was also a nice change not having to mess about with a chunky tripod, and tediously focus and readjust a camera constantly, thanks to Heather taking the photos - all I ended up doing was editing and that's probably my favourite part!

Anyroad, my back is killing me after spending so much time at a computer screen, so I'm off for a cuppa tea and Harry Potter in German (I guess you could say I have a unique book collection!). Hope you enjoy the post as much as we had making it!

Watches ♥

Wow - it's been a hectic weekend what with school work and revision so I've only just got a chance to blog! I did get the time to get some outfit photos in this weekend, that my great friend Heather took, but my USB for my camera has taken an unfortunate walk and I can't upload the images. Hopefully, I can sort that out for tomorrow and blog then, but I thought I'd do a quick post now too...about watches!
It may seem a bit eccentric, but I do have a terrible obsession over watches...and a dear tendency to buy quite a few, especially 'grandpa' watches from the charity shops! I'm never let down by a second hand watch, probably because I'm a sucker for a good vintage design. But recently, I've seen a great deal in stores and online that are lovely too (particularly in Urban Outfitters), and many really have a look of the old-age watch that I adore...so I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you.

Anyroad, I'll hopefully have my photos sorted by tomorrow and I'll post again then. Have a great day!

Hannah Marshall

As we know a new year means new faces and one I've seen a lot is Hannah Marshall, who is a great up and coming designer who you should definitely check out! Her statements are simply bold with quite feminine plain colours that contrast with masculine details. Her womenswear pieces from the catwalk seem greatly inspiring, and the simplistic approach to her designs paired with brilliant little elements here and there works to a definite advantage! I think her work's amazing to be quite intelligible but still boldly different to other designers. I'd always recommend looking at designers work for a little bit of inspiration! :)

What I'm Loving!

Good day fellow bloggers! Or boring day, should I say (seeing as I'm spending a sick day doing an essay on Lord Of The Flies...life can't get much better!) so I'd thought I'd do a quick random post today before returning to work....Firstly, I was looking at Kate Moss for Longchamp bags earlier, and they are quite sweet! She has a great fashion sense, and I think the line really captures that. I would never be able to afford even one of the buckles on the straps, but the bags are very nice to admire (still waiting on that money tree!) so they're worth the look-see!

I also saw Black Swan a couple of weeks ago and even though I watched half of it through my hands I fell head over heels for the incredible costumes. Films are always great to see fashion being stretched to imaginative extremes and give me great sources of inspiration...and Black Swan was certainly no exception! The elaborated ballet dresses really caught my eye and really emphasized the extreme plot of the film. I especially loved Rodarte's white dress Natalie Portman wore in the announcement party scene - it was beautifully elegant. I'd love to end up doing work like that for a career if I wasn't so keen on my english because the imagination and thought you could bring to something must be so exciting and rewarding!

Anyhoot, my essay awaits! Speak soon...

Going To Longer Lengths! ♥

Last year, it was all about the maxi-dress - which I loved, seeing as it's a nice change having a longer length. So tonight, after some online shopping as a little breather from revision, I kept seeing a lot of maxi skirts about online so I'm hoping these will come around again because the maxi length is always great for an elegant look and will suit everyone and anyone. I personally love the look and decided to collect a few of my favourites online to share with you guys...hope you like! :)

Have a great day!

David Koma For Topshop ♥

I haven't heard of Koma before, but since finding out that they're the latest addition to Topshop, I had to have a look-see! The clothes are lovely and there's five styles - which, by the looks of it, will be a great addition to Topshop's modern style. Koma heavily uses a bodycon look, and the simple colours are wonderful with small details here and there that really make the lucid designs stand out from the crowd. I can't wait to see Koma in Topshop, and think they're a great addition. They really fit in with Topshop range of fashion and I can't wait to see what's next.

First Outfit Post!

Top - Topshop - £5
Denim Shirt - Topshop
Skirt - Miss Selfridge - £2 (No, Thank You, Winter Sales!)
Coat - Urban Outfitters - £60
Tights - £5 - Topshop
Shoes - TK Maxx
Bag - Urban Outfitters (Dooney & Bourke)
Harry Potter Keyrings - Rowfers - £2.50 each
Necklace - Accessorize - £6
Trilby Hat - Urban Outfitters - £15

So, I've finally done an outfit post! I was inspired to after looking through the sales rack in Urban Outfitters today and coming across this coat (from £125 to £60 so I could hardly resist!) which I love and had to share with you. Unfortunately there wasn't my size, but I always like a baggy coat so I got it in large instead. I always end up buying clothes too big for me as a last resort - the skirt is actually a size 16, but I took it in a bit to fit! However, I think I ought'a lay off the coats and 'miscellaneous purchases' for awhile; my wardrobe is protesting at all the additions I shove in...
I also pur-chased a new necklace - and after seeing a lovely binocular one online I've been looking for a pair just like it!
....And there's also my key rings...but what can I say? I am a ridiculous Harry Potter nerd at heart! Who isn't? Anyroad, I just thought I'd quickly post this and get back to a hot cup of tea and Elle magazine...sounds like a plan to me!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
